Come, sit, and here you are a saint. You are part of an altar honouring yourself and your uniqueness. Here you are mighty. Nothing evil can get to you. You are protected.
Come, come into my embrace.
“The Body Is a Temple” examines the relationships between viewer and sacral object. One is far away and untouchable in the church, the other inviting and immediate. In one, the human is but a lowly sinner, in the other, uplifted to a saint.
